Assistant/Associate Director, Annual Digital Giving
Job Description
The Assistant/Associate Director, Annual Digital Giving reports to the Senior Associate Director, Annual Digital Giving and is responsible for increasing annual gifts from alumni to Boston College by leveraging digital and in-person engagement to effectively solicit gifts, and deepen alumni's philanthropic ties to BC.
The Assistant/Associate Director will manage a portfolio of donors, with clear metrics and goals for outreach, donor meetings, dollars brought in, donor count and pipeline growth. The Assistant/Associate Director will leverage technology including EverTrue's cloud platform, social media platforms and video conferencing software tools to build rapport, steward and solicit donors in an alumni centric, targeted, high-velocity manner. Additionally, the Assistant/Associate Director will execute monthly and quarterly touchpoint cadences (averaging 30+ outbound touchpoints per day) across portfolio to ensure consistent and relevant donor communication.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills across mediums are necessary, especially via video conferencing. Collaborative work with colleagues in other areas of University Advancement is key; these include Alumni Relations, Gift Planning, Athletics Development, School Development, Leadership Giving, and Major Giving. This position is expected to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed and conduct meetings virtually and by phone. Local and regional travel to solicit alumni may be required.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The salary range for this position is listed below with the final salary based on various factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and internal equity considerations.
Title and salary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles and full-time equivalent hiring ranges:
* Assistant Director: $59,400 - $74,250; 1-2 years experience
* Associate Director: $65,550 - $81,950; 2-3 years related professional experience
Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of fundraising experience or a combination of some fundraising and other directly related experience, with demonstrated ability to close gifts of $1,000 to $10,000 or more at the Assistant level. The Associate level requires 2-3 years of professional level frontline fundraising experience and a proven record of soliciting and closing annual cash gifts of $10,000 or more, preferably in a higher education environment. Determination of job level and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
The Assistant/Associate Director is required to demonstrate consistent and highly professional behavior, have excellent spoken, written, and interpersonal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to speak and write persuasively about higher education and the Jesuit tradition in particular. A valid driver's license is required. Proficiency with technology and relevant software applications, such as Google applications and the MS Office suite is also expected.
