Job Details
The Operations and Decision Technologies (ODT) Department in the Indiana University Bloomington campus of the Kelley School of Business invites applicants for multiple tenured/tenure-track positions in Information Systems to begin fall 2026. Candidates at the entry level must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. degree, or have completed all but dissertation, in the area of information systems or in a related field and have a strong commitment to excellence in scholarly research and teaching. Candidates at the advanced assistant, associate or full professor level must have a Ph.D. in the area of information systems or in a related field and have a record of high-quality publications, as well as demonstrated teaching experience. While the positions are open rank, pre-tenure candidates are preferred.

Likely teaching responsibilities involve strategy and organizational use of information systems, cybersecurity, management/development/application of AI, applications of modern digital tools for organizations and/or programming and modeling in environments such as Python, R, and SQL. Teaching may include undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level classes.
Before a conditional offer of employment with tenure is finalized, candidates will be asked to disclose any pending investigations or previous findings of sexual or professional misconduct. They will also be required to authorize an inquiry by Indiana University Bloomington with all current and former employers along these lines. The relevance of information disclosed or ascertained in the context of this process to a candidate’s eligibility for hire will be evaluated by Indiana University Bloomington on a case-by-case basis. Applicants should be aware, however, that Indiana University Bloomington takes the matters of sexual and professional misconduct very seriously.
To ensure consideration, applications should be received by September 26, 2025; however, the search will continue, and the applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. Interested applicants should review the position requirements and apply at https://indiana.peopleadmin.com/postings/30454.
Candidates should direct any questions to Claire Tafoya at odt@iu.edu.
