Educational Leadership (Two Positions) - The College of Education invites research-active educators to join our diverse, student-centered, academic community. We are seeking two new faculty members in the specialty areas below.
Higher Education
this faculty member will contribute to the development and promotion of a new higher education track within the existing Ed.D. Program. The faculty will teach doctoral-level courses in higher education (on such topics as the literature of higher education, college student development, student affairs, and organization and leadership) and doctoral and master's level courses in educational leadership and research methods. In addition to teaching and maintaining a research agenda focused on higher education, responsibilities include student advisement, chairing and serving on doctoral dissertation committees, ongoing program assessment, and accreditation work.
K-12 Educational Leadership
this faculty member will teach master's and doctoral-level courses on educational leadership and teach doctoral-level courses on quantitative research methods courses. In addition to teaching and maintaining a research agenda focused on K-12 education, responsibilities include student advisement, chairing and serving on doctoral dissertation committees, ongoing program assessment, and accreditation work. The faculty will contribute to the preparation of future educational leaders and support the department's mission to foster innovative, and effective leadership in K-12 and higher education settings.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. or Ed.D. degree in Higher Education, Educational Leadership or a related field and a minimum of two years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level is required. For the K-12 Educational Leadership position, a strong PK-12 background is also required.
Candidates must have an interest and dedication to program development; experience instructing students through multiple modalities such as face-to-face, online and hybrid teaching; and the ability to prepare educational leaders at the K-12 and higher education levels.
Candidates must also have an established and active independent research record that supports publication in peer-reviewed journals or publication venues appropriate for the discipline and a strong agenda for future research. ABD candidates will be considered with degree completion by September 1, 2026.

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Law, the negotiated annual salary range for this position is $80,436.03 - $103,900.98. Faculty rank is considered when making an offer. Salaries for internal applicants who are aligned under a collective bargaining unit will be determined in accordance with contractual guidelines. This position may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, a retirement plan and benefits for work life balance.
