Job Details
POSITION: Full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track appointment in Theater, Design and Production. We seek an outstanding scholar and teacher who will contribute to our mission of academic excellence, innovative teaching and research, and inclusive education.
RANK/SALARY: Assistant or Associate Professor appointment in Theater, Design and Production. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Theater, with emphasis on Theater Design and Production in support of an undergraduate liberal arts program in Theater. Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to, a variety of course offerings such as Stagecraft, Technical Direction, Scenic Design, Drawing/Rendering and Drafting. Applicant is expected to mentor and advise Design and Production students; maintain a visible and active profile of creative research; and engage in appropriate service to the department, school, and the university.
QUALIFICATIONS: With demonstrated interest and commitment to teaching BA students in Design and Production, the successful applicant will provide evidence of a completed MFA degree in Theatre, at least 3 years of successful university teaching experience, and scholarly and/or professional accomplishments.
