Computer & Information Technology (Hamilton Campus): Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track position) to teach courses in information technology, or cybersecurity & networking; advise students; maintain a program of scholarship; provide meaningful service to the CIT department, campus, students, community, and university. Job Description

Computer & Information Technology (Hamilton Campus): Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track position) to teach courses in information technology, or cybersecurity & networking; advise students; maintain a program of scholarship; provide meaningful service to the CIT department, campus, students, community, and university. Position begins August 2026. This position is a unique opportunity for faculty who are committed to open-access education and strong ties to the community.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

PhD or other Terminal degree in information technology, information systems, computing, business, educational studies, interdisciplinary studies, or a closely related field by date of appointment. Appointment as Associate Professor also requires an established record of research/scholarship.

Consideration may be given to candidates with a breadth of teaching experience in information technology/computing, or industry experience in information technology or related fields.

Consideration may be given to applicants who are familiar with Ohio’s College Credit Plus program and have experience in the development and implementation of special programs or workshops for low-income, first-generation students, and/or other groups of underserved student population; demonstrated ability to understand the needs of student populations historically underserved by higher education (i.e. low-income, first generations, etc.); ability to work a flexible schedule that might include occasional nights; demonstrated ability to learn and communicate detailed policies and procedures; have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
