Assistant/Associate Professor, Finance, Carl H. Lindner College of Business
Job Overview
The Department of Finance at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business of the University of Cincinnati is seeking candidates to fill a tenure track position. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending upon qualifications. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Desired start date is August 2026. Compensation and employment benefits are competitive.
Essential Functions
- Teaching finance courses on topics such as, but not limited to, private equity/private credit, investment banking, venture capital, financial institutions, corporate finance or applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence to finance.
- Research in areas such as, but not limited to, venture capital, investment banking, private capital markets, financial institutions, corporate governance, or machine learning applied to finance and related duties such as publishing, integrating research into classroom teaching, mentoring doctoral students, securing funding, etc.
- Service duties such as, but not limited to, leading curriculum development and initiatives of collaboration between industry and academia, peer review for journals, serving on committees, and advising students.
Minimum Requirements
Prior to effective date of appointment, the candidate must have:
- PhD degree in Finance or a related field.
