The successful candidate will be appointed to an NC State department consistent with their academic background and that aligns with the mission of the cluster. Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. degree in an area relevant to biopharmaceutical manufacturing, such as chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, biological sciences, microbiology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, computer science/engineering, or a closely related field. Candidates must have a clearly demonstrated record of excellence in research and scholarship commensurate with the rank sought.
Successful candidates are expected to establish dynamic, externally-funded research programs of international reputation, fully engaging in the highly collaborative environment of the cluster.
Candidates will also be expected to teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in their home department, and perform internal and professional service at a level commensurate with rank. The search committee will give high priority to the overall originality and promise of a candidate's work and their potential to contribute to the interdisciplinary mission of the Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing cluster.
