Assistant Coordinator of Dual Credit
Job Summary / Basic Function:
The Assistant Coordinator of Dual Credit responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting the Coordinator of Dual Credit in increasing student retention and recruitment among all programs. This role involves working closely with dual credit partners and college departments to ensure smooth program operations. This position will help with scheduling, communication, student enrollment, graduation, and the management of program-related documentation, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work with Dual Credit Coordinator and Director to establish and maintain partnerships with regional school contacts.
- Serve as liaison between regional high schools and LIT.
- Guide prospective new and current students in the awareness and planning of their educational career including the selection of the courses and programs of study.
- Participate and/or facilitate on and off campus registration and application activities.
- Assist local district personnel with recruiting efforts for dual credit programs, including parent informational nights.
- Work with the Dual Credit Coordinator and Director to coordinate the integration of dual credit programs with student services, academic affairs, and other areas of the college.
- Assist in the collection, processing, and tracking of paperwork required to enroll students into dual credit courses.
- Interact with the community through public presentations on student engagement and retention; college fairs; and various civic organizations.
- Offer exceptional customer service in a student-centered, professional environment.
- Assist with coordinating schedules between school district campuses and departments, including requesting appropriate courses to meet school district’s needs.
- Assist with coordinating student completion and graduation with their level 1 or 2 certificates or their associate degrees.
- Evening and weekends may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to: remain in a stationary position for most of the time; occasionally move about inside an office to access documents, office equipment, etc.; constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university.
- Must have excellent written, computer, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong Customer Service Skills.
- Ability to use software products, such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work on multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of work experience in a related field in either the private sector, with a state agency, higher education, or K-12 education.
- Three or more years of student retention and recruitment experience.
- Proficient skills in Banner, Starfish, Argos, Microsoft Office applications, and supervisory experience.
Salary:
36,000
