Job Description:
- Organizes and coordinates all tutoring and mentoring services during the academic year.
- Collaborates with the program director to provide effective academic skills and college preparatory services to learning center school districts.
- Collaborates with the program director to provide services to parents and families in specified cohort.
- Recruits cohort students to participate in learning center programs, activities, and events.
- Maintains and documents all records of student or parent and guardian interactions while monitoring student progress.
- Researches changes to federal regulations and administrative requirements relevant program operations to ensure continued compliance.
- Collects, organizes, and inputs all program data for annual performance reports and evaluation purposes.
- Organizes and coordinates summer programs and campus for learning center participants.
- Supervises University student employees serving as tutors and mentors and coordinates the placement and performance of each student staff.
Short Job Description:
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in communicating effectively with a diverse range of constituencies including staff, faculty, K-12 administrators, community members, and youth.
- Experience working with first generation and low-income families.
- Experience with program planning and implementation.
- Experience providing college preparatory and readiness information and programming to K-12 youth.
