The School of Business at St. Bonaventure University is seeking applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Accounting. We welcome candidates with teaching and research interests in one or more of the following areas: financial accounting and/or accounting theory. Consideration will be given to candidates for Assistant or Associate Professor positions. Required QualificationsAssistant Professor - Ph.D., from an AACSB accredited institution in the field of accounting at the time of hire, along with extensive industry experience - Qualify as Scholarly Academic (SA) by institutional AACSB standards - Evidence of ability to produce original and innovative scholarly research - Candidate must be able to teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level, both face to face and online Associate Professor In addition to the required qualifications for Assistant: - 3-5 years teaching /research experience in an AACSB recognized University - Candidates should have an active research program demonstrating capacity for high level research and have an excellent record of classroom instruction - Ability to effectively teach financial accounting, accounting theory Preferred Qualifications - An active CPA license with experience in public or private accounting - 10+ combined years of service in academics and/or public accounting - Prior teaching experience in a post-secondary educational setting - Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content - Online teaching experience - Candidates should demonstrate interest or willingness in teaching financial accounting, accounting theory and graduate-level accounting coursework will be viewed favorably.
