Educational Leadership and Policy Studies

Responsibilities:

• Engaging in a well-defined scholarship agenda in K-12 educational leadership or administration.
• Advising graduate students in the online Ed.D. and on-campus Ph.D. programs.
• Serving on student graduate Ph.D. and Ed.D. committees.
• Providing service to the university, the department, the college, and the profession.
• Developing and submitting grant proposals to potential funding agencies.
• Teaching graduate courses in the educational leadership program (master's and specialist) and doctoral (EdD/PhD) programs.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in educational leadership, administration, policy, or a related degree

Other Special Skills or Requirements:

• Research or teaching experience (not actual work experience, but knowledge or expertise) related to school resources or legal issues for educational leaders
• Experience (not actual work experience, but knowledge or expertise) with teaching or training in research methods or program evaluation courses
• Experience (not actual work experience, but knowledge or expertise) in K· 12 school system as a teacher leader or administrator
• Experience (not actual work experience, but knowledge or expertise) with mentorship
• Experience (not actual work experience, but knowledge or expertise) with online/hybrid Instruction as a student or instructor
• Potential for success in garnering external funding for research.
• Evidence of high-quality scholarship.
• Ability to teach K-12 leadership courses.
• Commitment to and experience (not actual work experience, but knowledge or expertise) with working with diverse student populations.
• Strong organizational and Interpersonal skills.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
