Basic Function: Under the direction of the Dean and Department Chair, the Assistant Professor is responsible for providing academic instruction to students for assigned undergraduate courses in Psychology.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or be ABD with a set date for degree completion. Candidates must have research expertise in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and maintain an active research program involving undergraduate students.

Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses such as Abnormal Psychology, Specialized Psychopathology, Psychological Assessments, Theories of Personality, Counseling-Related Capstones, and introductory Statistics and Research Methods courses.

Additional duties include advising students, mentoring undergraduate research, participating in department activities, serving on committees, and establishing collaborative relationships.

Knowledge Of: Clinical or Counseling Psychology, statistics, quantitative methodology, effective teaching principles, and student learning outcomes.

Ability To: Demonstrate thorough knowledge in the subject field, deliver course curricula, mentor diverse students, and integrate instructional technologies.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution, evidence of teaching and research related to underrepresented populations, and publications or presentations.

Preferred Qualifications: Ability to teach specific courses and evidence of mastery in statistics and research methods.

Hiring Range: $75,000-$83,000
