Description of Department: The Computer Science department coordinates six high-quality innovative degree programs: undergraduate majors in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Science, and Cognitive Science, along with graduate programs in Human Computer Interaction and Biomedical Health Informatics.
The Computer Science Department at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications to fill a full-time Assistant Professor.

Compensation: $70,000, commensurate with experience.

Description of Responsibilities:
The faculty member will teach graduate courses, including those on HCI principles and research methods, graduate seminars in areas of expertise, and related undergraduate courses in programs served by the department. The faculty member will also conduct relevant research, oversee graduate projects, work with industry to arrange projects and internships, and participate in advisement and other department and campus service.

Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science or a related field by time of appointment
- Documented teaching and research ability

Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in one or more of: accessibility, VR systems, educational applications, and/or areas covered by other degree programs offered by the department.
