Department Information

The Department of Information Systems and Analytics in the Parker College of Business offers a BBA in Information Systems and Analytics. The program is AACSB-accredited.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Information Systems and Analytics, the Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor position is a 10-month, non-tenure track teaching appointment. This faculty position requires commitment to excellence in teaching and learning as well as professional service.

Required Qualifications

• Earned terminal degree in Information Systems, or a closely related field from an accredited institution by July 1, 2026, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Information Systems or related fields.
• Evidence of the potential for excellent teaching ability.
• Evidence of effective communication skills.
• Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
• Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant industry experience in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Enterprise Systems, or related fields.
• Evidence of quality teaching.
• Evidence of potential for scholarly productivity commensurate with a non-tenure track appointment.
• Interest in ongoing professional development within the discipline.
• Strong teaching interest in the following areas: Enterprise systems, including ERP/SAP; Business analytics and business intelligence; Machine learning and artificial intelligence; Programming (Python, Java, R, ABAP, etc.); Enterprise infrastructure and security; Enterprise systems analysis and design; Database management (SQL); Project management (Agile, Analytics).

Proposed Salary

Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
