The Department of English in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Miami invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with expertise in British Literature of the Global Revolutionary Period (1780–1832). We seek candidates with varied scholarly interests whose teaching and research interests intersect with the work of other faculty in English and elsewhere in the College of Arts and Sciences. Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. in English or a related field in hand by time of appointment; a strong and active publishing agenda; a record of excellence in college-level teaching; and a commitment to leadership and innovation in the study of literature and culture.
