Assistant Professor of the Polytechnic Institute - Software Development and Integration
Position Overview
The University of Oklahoma is seeking applicants for multiple full-time rank renewable term Assistant Professor positions with a teaching emphasis in software development, integration, and related fields. Prospective applicants should be passionate about teaching and mentoring students. These faculty will be instrumental in designing and implementing new degree programs at the OU Polytechnic Institute (OUPI) in Tulsa.
The OUPI will offer bachelor's completion and graduate degree programs focused on innovation and advanced technology, including areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, advanced computing, health information systems, advanced mobility, digital manufacturing, and software development and integration. Competencies include machine learning, data science, and autonomous systems.
Qualifications
Applicants must have earned a doctoral degree in a Computing-related field by the position start date and possess teaching experience at the college level in Software Development and/or Integration or a closely related field. Experience with computing student education through teaching and student mentoring is required. Evidence of scholarship in computing and/or engineering education is preferred. Candidates should provide leadership in curriculum innovation, be effective communicators, and support inclusive excellence.

Salary and Benefits
Tentative 9-month salary: $95,000 - $110,000, negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
