Position Description
The Department of Systems Biology at Columbia University in New York City, in collaboration with the Program in Mathematical Genomics, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor.
We seek exceptional scientists with demonstrated accomplishments in any area of quantitative biology, including but not limited to: systems biology, computational biology, systems immunology, machine learning, functional genomics, molecular and single-cell biology, metabolic network and whole-cell modeling, or innovative methods for generating, analyzing, and interpreting large-scale biological data to address fundamental questions of biomedical importance.
The successful candidate will join a collegial and highly collaborative community of investigators and will have access to world-class resources across Columbia’s campuses. Candidates are expected to establish an independent, creative research program, as well as demonstrate a commitment to teaching and mentorship. Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in any quantitative discipline with research background in applying quantitative approaches to biological problems.
