Department Summary
Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, this position oversees the day-to-day operations of an innovative and challenging out-of-school time program for youth participants. Responsibilities will include: working with families, teachers, and other staff to implement hands-on learning activities; developing community relations with other area youth-serving organizations; scheduling and oversight of intermittent and student staff and volunteers; assisting in the planning and implementation of program special events; assuring that health and safety requirements, as well as all requirements of local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, are met; assisting in collection of data to meet reporting requirements; and representing Kids on Campus in a professional manner in all interactions with children, families, school personnel, and the community.
Other duties include:
Work within a specific budget. Manage supply inventory. Purchase supplies. Reconcile Concur/BobcatBuy. Schedule and oversee 20-30 intermittent and student employees and volunteers. Assist in the collection of data for evaluation and other reporting requirements.
Position Profile
Designs, conducts, markets, and supports community educational programs. Researches community educational needs and interests and develops educational programs and material in line with community needs. Organizes educational workshops for University and local communities.
Level Summary
Performs professional-level work that involves basic, operational problem-solving. Independently resolves day-to-day issues and executes clearly defined tasks. Provides data analysis and informational insights to support decision-making.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None; may assist with training student employees.
Fiscal Responsibilities
No budgetary responsibility. May be responsible for validating transactions.
Problem Solving
Solves routine problems with defined processes and guidance.
Independence of Action
Works under close supervision.
Communication and Collaboration
Collaborates with peers and follows guidance from supervisor.
Physical Requirements
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and less than 3 years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
