Assistant Teaching Professor
The Faculty of Nursing at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) invites applications for a two (2) year term position as an Assistant Teaching Professor with the possibility of renewal. The position will commence on September 1, 2025. Expertise in the use of advanced technologies and simulation in both classroom and clinical teaching is an asset. Applicants should demonstrate a strong background in clinical practice in acute and complex care across the lifespan. The position is situated at the Moncton site and involves a combination of remote and in-person classroom teaching, simulation/Virtual Reality facilitation with clinical practicums and laboratory teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate program.
The salary range and fringe benefits for this position are defined in the Association of University of New Brunswick Teachers (AUNBT) 2022 - 2025 Collective Agreement sections 35 and 36B.
Role Qualifications & Expectations: The successful candidate must hold an earned Master’s in Nursing. The successful candidate will be involved with both remote and in-person teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate programs; travel may be required to support teaching and learning at other sites. Experience using various advanced technologies to support teaching and learning is an asset. A demonstrated ability to teach effectively in-person and via virtual platforms is expected as well as experience with simulation. Given that all programming is delivered in English, strong proficiency in the English language (spoken and written) is required. Service within the university and the community is expected and the successful applicant will actively participate in faculty governance and decision-making within the Faculty of Nursing.
The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB) and be registered prior to beginning this appointment. International applications should include evidence of the NANB registration process.
