The Faculty of Health Sciences and Community Services invites applications from students interested in pursuing doctoral studies in a discipline relevant to adult care, with a view to joining the faculty of the School of Nursing, Moncton campus.
The potential position is attached to the Network School of Nursing, which offers undergraduate and graduate programs to nearly 500 students across the University's three campuses. The successful candidate must have skills and a strong interest in teaching a variety of courses at both levels, with flexibility and versatility in teaching and learning methods (in-person, hybrid, co-modal, or online) being required qualities.

What you will do
Responsibilities
The successful candidate must be a member - or eligible to become a member - of the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB). Initial award of the scholarship is conditional upon full-time registration in a doctoral program prior to the effective date of the scholarship.
The file must include:
- A letter of intent specifying areas of interest and experience in teaching and research;
- A detailed curriculum vitae (last 5 years);
- A copy of university studies transcripts and diplomas obtained;
- Proof of registration for the doctorate and/or a letter from the thesis supervisor stating the level of progress of doctoral studies;
- Proof of professional qualification, membership status with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB) and professional experience as a registered nurse;
- A copy (or DOI link) of publications, a detailed study project or any other relevant document to assess the research potential;
- Examples of course outlines, assessments or exams, collections of lecture texts/notes, student or peer evaluations of teaching and any relevant documentation that can be used to assess teaching skills; in the case of an applicant without teaching experience, their vision or philosophy of university teaching;
- Three letters of recommendation sent by email directly to the administrative assistant to the Dean of the FSSSC carole.frenette@umoncton.ca , including the competition reference number;
- The names, titles and contact details of the three references;
- The Employment Equity Self-Identification Form , if applicable.
The successful candidate will be required to sign a letter of agreement with the Université de Moncton, stipulating the conditions attached to the scholarship. Annual renewal of the scholarship is conditional upon satisfactory evaluation of the progress report. The appointment is conditional upon obtaining the doctorate or obtaining all the course credits required for the doctorate, according to the hiring conditions stipulated in the contract.

Salary: The amount of the scholarship is $25,000/year for a period of three (3) years.
