Department Summary

Position Summary
The Assistant Coach is responsible for providing coaching, recruiting, and administrative assistance to the Head Coach. This position supports the University of Oregon Women's Lacrosse program, a member of the Big Ten Conference competing at the NCAA Division I level.
This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University of Oregon, the Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- One of the following:
o Four (4) years of playing experience at the NCAA Division 1 lacrosse level; or
o Three (3) or more years of coaching experience at the collegiate lacrosse level (any division); or
o A combination of D1 playing experience and collegiate coaching experience totaling six (6) or more years

- Ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent organizational skills
- High motivation with a capacity for hard work within the context of an intensely goal-oriented environment
- Ability to work effectively with administrators, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with NCAA compliance platforms and recruiting databases
Preferred Qualifications
- Championship level experience playing and/or coaching
- Experience as a position coach
- Proven significant skill development of student-athletes both individually and collectively
- Experience recruiting via the NCAA Transfer Portal with documented portal additions
- Established recruiting network as a recruiting coordinator at the collegiate level
