UWE, Bristol School of Computing and Creative Technologies is a leading provider of Higher Education programmes in the West of England. We provide undergraduate provision in Creative technologies including Games Technology, Digital Media and Music Technology as well as several other technical subjects such as cyber security, information science and mathematics. We offer state of the art facilities to deliver professionally focussed programmes across our discipline range.
About you
Due to the growth in our programmes we are currently looking for associate lecturers to provide support for tutorials, computer labs, project supervision and marking of assessments in Games Technology. Associate lecturers are contracted for a fixed number of hours within an academic year. The current full rate of remuneration of £50.40 covers teaching (1hr), associated marking and preparation (1.5hrs). We are looking for individuals who have a strong knowledge of core computing topics. We are specifically seeking expertise in Game engines (Unity and Unreal), Programming (C++, C# preferred but any transferable skills are valid), Game industry knowledge (trends, practice and production pipeline knowledge), Artificial intelligence (its uses and impacts within creative technologies), and Design and iteration skills. You should have a relevant postgraduate qualification, preferably to PhD level and have some experience of working in a higher education environment.
