An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lecturer to join Norwich Medical School. You will be involved in the leadership, coordination, management and substantial delivery of clinical communication skills teaching for undergraduate medicine. In particular, you will take a key role within our Consultation Skills team, shaping and delivering the new Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) Consultation Skills curriculum, as well as contributing to our 5 year MB BS Medicine degree. The role will also involve carrying out teaching related duties and formal administrative work within the School, including assessments, supervision of student research projects, and acting as a Personal Adviser.
Teaching is a key part of this role and as such you will be expected to plan, teach and assess undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, taking responsibility for the delivery and assessment of specific modules. This will include organising modules and developing teaching and learning materials. You will also take responsibility for some of the degree programmes within the school, supervise dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and promote enterprise and engagement at UEA.
A first degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area with experience of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and student assessment at all levels including coursework, examinations and undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations is essential. Supervision experience at postgraduate level and experience in relevant enterprise and engagement activities would be advantageous.
