Job Description: The instructional nursing faculty member shall have the primary responsibility of the teaching function and shall be held accountable for the teaching obligations as it contributes to the attainment of the mission of the University, the School, and the Department.
Required Qualifications: A minimum of a masters degree in nursing required for all CSON faculty positions - doctorate in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications: A doctorate is required for teaching in the CSON graduate programs; current unrestricted licensure and licensure in other states if required for teaching/clinical supervision; and evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity.

Job Duties:
- Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large;
- Promote effective working relations with faculty, staff and students; undertake the Standard Instructional/Research/Service Workload as outlined in the Faculty-Staff Policy Manual;
- Provide course conduct as outlined in the Faculty-Staff Policy Manual;
- Provide clinical instruction in campus lab, clinical facilities, and simulation lab (will provide clinical instruction for make-up days);
- Provide academic advisement of students;
- Conduct office/conference hours if not in clinical 4 days that week;
- Proctor nursing exams if not in clinical 4 days that week;
- Assist the Dean, Chairs, Program Directors, and faculty with development of course schedules;
- Engage in professional development;
- Provide committee service;
- Attend faculty meetings;
- Attend commencement activities;
- Participate in annual faculty evaluation;
- Completion of required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Precept graduate students in a clinical or non-clinical setting.
