About the Opportunity

The College of Science at Northeastern University invites applications for an Associate or Full Professor in the Department of Psychology serving as Director for the Northeastern University Biomedical Imaging Center (NUBIC) within the Institute for Cognitive and Brain Health in the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex.

Applicants must have an internationally recognized, well-funded program of research. Expertise in human MRI/fMRI research in psychological science, developmental science, cognitive science, neuroscience, medical physics, biological science, biomedical engineering, biomedical science, radiology, or health science. Leadership in building a user-base for functional, diffusion, spectroscopy, and structural MRI research. Expertise in interdisciplinary groups desired.

The successful candidate will be appointed to the Department of Psychology and other departments as appropriate. Expected to develop NUBIC, manage MRI functions, provide training. Support staff reports to Director. Facility: Siemens Prisma 3T MR suite with advanced equipment.

Responsibilities

Serve as Director of NUBIC, senior faculty in Institute for Cognitive and Brain Health, teach courses, conduct independent externally funded research, contribute to department mission. Interdisciplinary collaboration encouraged. Develop research programs, teach, supervise students/postdocs, service.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in neuroscience, psychology, physics, biomedical engineering, or related field, or M.D. Record commensurate with rank. Strong scholarly accomplishment, ability to build research program. For Associate/Full: substantial productivity, grant support, service.

Pay Range

Associate Professor: $120,000 - $135,000 | Professor: $146,000 - $293,000 (annual, USD).
