The Law School Registrar's Office provides accurate academic records and policy information to faculty, students, staff, alumni, central administration, and external constituencies.
Your Role on the Team
Working independently under general supervision using professional Registrar student record based concepts, applies a level of breadth and depth with student record and service delivery practices, policies, and regulations.
Works independently under the general supervision of the Assistant Dean for Student Services. The Associate Registrar will be responsible for compliance with the University of California and the American Bar Association accreditation instructional requirements; ensures all incoming matriculated student records are accurate and complete; manages all aspects of exam administration from scheduling, proctoring, software configuration of exams, and scheduling any needed makeup exams; ensuring that all student disability accommodations are met for instructional and exam needs; degree auditing; and ensuring all enrollment and grade change forms are processed accurately.
The expected pay range for this recruitment is $63,800- $78,000 (Annual).

Required:
- Thorough knowledge of policies, regulations, and practices with student records services.
- Thorough knowledge of University policies, processes, and procedures, and of Federal and California laws pertaining to the privacy rights of students and access to student information.
- Ability to apply thorough knowledge of policies to a variety of individual situations. Recommends procedures to ensure compliance in a diverse learning community.
- Strong problem identification, critical thinking, and problem solving skills; judgment and decision-making ability. Ability to assess processes and implement improvements.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

- Thorough knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and productivity software.

- Strong ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with campus departments, UC campuses, and external agencies.
- Thorough knowledge of particular Registrar core functions (e.g., degree requirements, special enrollment, veterans' benefits, and residency).
- Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with student records and enrollment services.
