Attendant, Parking Enforcement
Essential Job Functions
- Regulates parking in assigned lot restricting unauthorized vehicles and providing entry to authorized vehicles.
- Completes reports or forms required by department.
- Counts parked vehicles and holds required spaces for reservations
- Provides directions, parking alternatives and campus information upon request to visitors, students, staff and faculty.
- Prepare temporary permits as required for customers.
- Notifies Parking Services via two-way radio or telephone of need for Parking Enforcement Officer or of other problems such as mechanical failure and vehicle boot tampering.
- Watches assigned lot for suspicious activity and reports such to university public safety unit
- Checks permits to verify authorization and assist in identification of stolen permits.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent; experience in customer service preferred
Minimum Experience: One (1) year parking enforcement experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications: Must possess and maintain a driver's license.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Parking Department regulations, policies and procedures
- Knowledge of relevant software applications including MS Office
- Proficient in use of email and internet.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and interpersonal
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize work
- Must provide quality customer service
