Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Audiovisual Technology Analyst in the Digital Classroom Services Unit of the Office of Information Technology is responsible for analyzing, configuring, and maintaining classroom audio-visual systems, AV control interfaces, endpoint computing devices, and supporting software. This role ensures seamless setup, operation, and troubleshooting of AV technology for live events, webinars, and instructional environments.
In addition, the position manages Audio/Video processing and signal flow to deliver high-quality AV experiences across campus. This role also oversees digital signage systems, including content management, scheduling, workflow coordination, and technical support to ensure timely and accurate campus communications.
The Audiovisual Technology Analyst provides technical support and guidance through Level 1 and Level 2 assistance and collaborates with vendors to resolve Level 3 issues. Responsibilities include documenting solutions, creating end-user guidelines, and delivering on-site training when needed. The position also consults with staff and vendors to recommend hardware, software, and AV solutions that meet instructional requirements.
Working both independently and collaboratively, the Audiovisual Technology Analyst plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and user experiences to the campus community, including faculty, staff, students, guests, and visitors, by ensuring reliable, high-quality AV and computing technology.
The Audiovisual Technology Analyst works both independently and collaboratively with other team members to accomplish the objectives stated above. Provides excellent customer service and experiences to the campus community - faculty, staff, students, guests, and visitors.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Computer Science, Instructional Technology, Information Systems, or Management Information Systems
- Five to seven years of hands-on experience troubleshooting AV hardware and software and other instructional technology equipment
- Experience with workstation hardware types such as Dell and Apple setup and configuration
- Extron's AVA Certification
- Familiarity with live events and webinar production workflows, video and audio signal flow, and digital signage management-including content scheduling and workflow coordination
