OVERVIEW & HIGHLIGHTS

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a Basic Needs Coordinator. The incumbent performs a variety of duties including coordination of programs and events, organizations, and supervision of staff and student workers for the Basic Needs program. Oversee system of service delivery that is responsive to California Community College, local, state, and federal initiatives aimed at removing barriers and improving student access and success; support the community by linking them to support programs, public resources, community organizations and regional support services for basic needs. AT-A-GLANCE POSITION INFORMATION:

This recruitment will establish an eligibility list valid for 6 months, and will be used to fill two (2) current vacancies and future vacancies. One vacancy is available at each campus: Grossmont and Cuyamaca College.

Type of position: Full-Time - Monday - Friday

Salary: Range S-I

$36.81 - $44.75 Hourly

$76,574 - $93,075 Annually (based on 40 hours per week)

Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($36.81 per hour) or B ($38.65 per hour) on the salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a four-year degree in public/community health, social work, higher education or closely related field; AND, four years increasingly responsible student services related experience including one year in a lead capacity. Experience involving community college programs and services in the basic needs services area is desirable.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: A master's degree in sociology, psychology, social work, public health, community health, or closely related field. (Minimum Qualifications for this position are established through Title 5.)

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current California Driver's License
  • Current California Food Handler's License for Food Banking (or ability to obtain upon hire)
