College/Department Information: The Dental College of Georgia provides dental education and patient care across Georgia.
Job Summary: The Biomedical Equipment Service Technician assists in the maintenance, repair, and calibration of biomedical equipment in DCG clinical and research facilities. They provide training on equipment operation.
Responsibilities: Duties include equipment maintenance and repair, installation and testing, documentation and reporting, compliance and safety, training and learning, and team support. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent with three years' experience in electronic or mechanical maintenance, or Associate's degree in a related field with one year experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Certifications like CRES, CLES, CHTM, or CBET; previous medical/dental experience; manufacturer-specific training; experience with CMMS.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems; proficiency in troubleshooting; knowledge of Office and CMMS software; strong attention to detail; good communication skills; ability to follow instructions.
Shift/Salary/Benefits: Pay Grade: B10; Salary: Minimum $25.24/hour; Benefits include health insurance, retirement, vacation, sick leave, and holidays. Recruitment Period: Until Filled.
