HUSC - Surgery Admin - FT Nights
Position Summary: The Unit Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and performing a broad range of clerical support functions in the nursing unit. Specific duties include performing reception functions, collecting and compiling patient data, assembling medical records, and assisting with patient admission/discharge. Performs routine patient care functions as needed and will perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior work administrative/clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting
- Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Current BLS certification upon hire (must be issued by the AHA)
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of medical terminology and Universal Precautions
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support
