Position Summary

This role is responsible for the daily administration, maintenance, and support of a wide range of the College’s on prem and SaaS based business applications. This role ensures optimal performance, availability, and usability of applications used across departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive, and adept at troubleshooting technical issues while delivering excellent user support.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Install, configure, and update business and enterprise applications.
  • Serve as a point of contact for application-related issues, training and support.
  • Manage user access and security roles for various applications.
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes for application access.
  • Review and triage incoming helpdesk tickets related to business applications.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant work experience is required (3-5 years preferred).
  • Experienced in systems administration, applications support, or similar IT role.
  • Experience with application deployment and upgrade processes.
  • Skilled in managing access permissions and role-based controls.
  • Familiarity with supporting system rollouts, upgrades, and change initiatives in a structured academic calendar environment.
  • Ability to support the unique application needs of departments such as Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Human Resources, Advancement, and Academic Affairs.
  • Experienced with helpdesk/ticketing systems for technical support and service management.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize work.
  • Excellent human relations/customer service skills with the ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to uphold a professional code of ethics and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience building production data pipelines and/or application integrations (preferably in a cloud environment).
