Overview
Provide initial point-of-contact for the office. Assist with functions of the office, including PC Card, travel card, CCTV, and dining services operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer inquiries, provide up-to-date information and resolve questions and issues pertaining to access and general card issues, while redirecting more complex issues to the appropriate staff member. Coordinate the production of new and replacement cards. Ensure security and integrity of card production. (30%)
- Assist the card office in the creation of accounts including residence access, meal plans, and access plans. Set up user access, input data, and update records to existing programs. (20%)
- Troubleshoot basic system problems and coordinate repairs by responding to, and routing user work orders. Analyze basic problems and offer technical assistance to patrons and system users. (20%)
- Prepare and maintain records, files, and databases, some of which are confidential. Process payments and routine reports, as well as perform data entry. Support the card office in the development of materials related to the card systems, including marketing and promotional programs, monthly statements, and routine and specialized management reports. (15%)
- Interface with various college departments and vendors to coordinate the setup of user access, input data and records to update existing programs and implement new programs. (15%)
MARGINAL DUTIES:
- Perform all other duties as may be required.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma required. Some college from an accredited institution preferred.
- One to three years’ experience in an office environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and assist.
- Ability to work effectively across a variety of communication channels (in-person, phone, and email).
- Ability to collaborate with team members to resolve issues quickly and efficiently, as well as identify opportunities for improving processes/procedures.
- Proactive and able to meet deadlines.
- Experience working with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email.
- Experience in an environment that requires strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in higher education preferred.
