Job Description

  • CQUniversity Bundaberg, Emerald, Gladstone, Mackay, Rockhampton or Townsville (working from home is negotiable, excl. SEQ region)
  • Higher Education Worker Level 6
  • Total Remuneration $110,541 to $119,053 pa (including salary of $93,409 to $100,602 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

About the role

With more than 250 TAFE and university courses across 20+ national locations and online, Australia’s largest regional university has a diverse range of audiences to engage. CQUniversity delivers impactful, results-driven campaigns through a lean but effective marketing model, combining in-house and agency creative, centralised specialists and strategic media planning.

Due to an internal secondment, we’re offering a 12-month fixed-term opportunity to join our agile three-person Campaigns and Content team. With support from the Manager, you’ll lead and contribute to campaigns of all sizes, working closely with internal and agency stakeholders to plan, deliver and manage content and creative production.

Our ideal candidate

Has experience delivering multi-channel advertising campaigns in-house or within an agency, across a range of markets or services. You’re a strategic thinker and skilled multi-tasker who thrives under pressure, with a sharp eye for detail and a mindset geared towards improvement. You’re confident coordinating end-to-end campaigns, comfortable writing briefs, shaping messaging, reviewing media schedules, crafting copy and working with creatives on concepts and production. You also know your way around analytics tools and can translate results into clear, actionable insights.

Position Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering end-to-end marketing or advertising campaigns.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to write for various formats, audiences and channels.
  • Sound understanding of brand management, content development and the value of strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Solid knowledge of both traditional and digital communication platforms.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, with excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
  • A relevant degree with subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
