Campus Activities Assistant
Position Summary
The Intern will primarily be responsible for the execution of The Cortland Nites program for the fall semester 2025, and for the planning, design and execution of the Cortland Nites program for the spring semester 2026. In addition the Intern will also assist the department in fulfilling all of our traditional programming efforts: Welcome Week in the fall and the spring, Family Weekend, and CORTACA Jug in the fall, and Spring Fling at the end of the year. This is a temporary, 18 -20 hour per week position, available through 5/18/2026. The starting rate of pay is $20.00 per hour.

Major Responsibilities
- Chair the Cortland Nites programming committee which will feature late night programs/activities on weekends
- Supervise a Student Assistant
- Daily and Weekly Tasks for Event Preparation and Event Management for Cortland Nites
- Assist in event preparation and management for programming efforts initiated within the Office of Campus Activities and Corey Union
Functional and Supervisory Relationships
The Intern will report to the Director of Corey Union and be an important colleague of the staff of the Office of Campus Activities and Corey Union. The Intern will supervise one student assistant.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in event planning and coordination; familiarity with SUNY Cortland, it's resources and policies, and understanding of the student experience.
