Cardiovascular Technician-Lab-Cardiovascular-Part time-Days
Position Summary: The Cardio Neuro Vascular Technician is responsible for performing the appropriate skills and techniques necessary during department procedures. The technician has the responsibility of identifying and maintaining patient safety. Position rotates between scrub and monitor. On call requirement with a 30-minute response time. Department procedures include but are not limited to: Coronary angiogram/angioplasty, Peripheral angiogram/angioplasty, Neuro interventional angiogram/angioplasty, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) and Thoracic vessel repair, Neuro Coronary Peripheral Pulmonary Thrombectomy, Central/Port placement and removal, Electrophysiology procedures including Ablation, Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) procedures, Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Cardioversion, Stress Tests, and EKG.
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification, CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification within 30 days of hire, 12 Lead Electrocardiography (EKG) / Basic Arrythmia / Hemodynamics, Full command (verbal and written) of the English language, Ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position, Experience in a Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology procedure setting with scrubbing experience or a graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program, Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties, Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job, Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload, Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS), 1-year of acute hospital experience, Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
