CQUniversity is seeking dedicated Casual Learning Advisers to provide tailored tutorial assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students through the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Program (ITAP).
In this rewarding role, you will deliver personalised academic support to students enrolled in SUN, STEPS, undergraduate and postgraduate programs across a range of disciplines. By mentoring students and strengthening their academic capability, you will contribute to improved learning outcomes and help foster a culturally safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Please note this is a casual pool. Your expression of interest will remain valid until 30 October 2026. You will only be contacted if appropriate casual work becomes available whilst your application is active.
Position Requirements
- A completed qualification at the level at which you are tutoring. i.e., a minimum bachelor’s degree to tutor students studying within a Bachelor level course.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and societies, and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
- Currently hold a Blue Card (Working with Children Positive Notice) to comply with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 for regulated employment in education and care services.
