OVERVIEW & HIGHLIGHTS

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a Child Development Center Assistant, Senior. The incumbent under the direction of an assigned supervisor, performs a variety of specialized duties related to care and education of young children and provide direction and training of child development majors in the Child Development Center and affiliated programs. AT-A-GLANCE POSITION INFORMATION:

Type of position: Full-Time - Monday - Friday

Salary: Range CL-28

$22.58 - $28.24 Hourly

$3,914 - $4,895 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week)

Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($22.58 per hour) or B ($23.88 per hour) on the salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Graduation from high school and completion of college coursework required for a California Commission on Teacher Credentialing child development teacher level and ongoing continuing education hours to maintain or upgrade permit level.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California Child Development Teacher Permit, Pediatric CPR, first aid AND documented training in health practices as required by Title XXII.
