Clinical Social Worker, ASK Program, Boston
Position Summary/Department Summary
We are currently seeking a 40-hour social worker for our Advocating Success for Kids (ASK) program. This position is part of Boston Children's Hospital Primary Care @ Longwood. The ASK team includes developmental-behavioral pediatricians, psychologists, social workers, and educators who work to address the developmental, learning, and/or behavioral needs of children seen at several community health centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing assessment, treatment, and advocacy for a diverse group of children and adolescents.
- Collaborating with families and school systems to advocate for appropriate services through attendance at IEP or other school related meetings, case management and crisis intervention as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in social work
Experience: Bilingual Spanish preferred. Experience working with children and families in a medical social work environment preferred. Ability to work in a fast pace setting, managing tasks in a timely manner. Enthusiasm, optimism, and self-motivation.
Licensure/Certifications: LCSW in the state MA, LICSW in the state of MA preferred
