Working at CQUniversity

The Office of the Chief Operating Officer leads major operational, digital, infrastructure, and organisational initiatives that support the University’s strategic direction. Working closely with Facilities Management, Digital Services, People and Culture, and Corporate Communications, the Directorate delivers integrated, future-focused services that enhance the experiences of staff and students, ensuring smooth campus operations during growth and change.

The Communication and Change Management Officer provides specialist support for major projects and operational initiatives across the University. Working under broad direction, you will lead the planning and delivery of communication, engagement, and change activities that keep stakeholders informed and supported through transformation.

Collaborating across multiple divisions, the role crafts clear, audience‑focused messaging, supports change adoption, facilitates engagement initiatives, and—as the first role to transition to the Campus of the Future model—works without a permanent desk, operating flexibly across various departments to promote collaboration, increase visibility, and evaluate communication effectiveness. This position suits a proactive communicator who thrives in dynamic, people-centred project environments.
