Job Description:

About This Opportunity

We are excited to share the opportunity to join our team as a Senior Officer, Marketing and Communication. In this role, you will play a key role in creating and delivering impactful marketing and student recruitment initiatives that showcase our world-class undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs across the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology. Your work will help attract future innovators and leaders by connecting them with opportunities to shape the future.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Events and Outreach: Designs and delivers high school engagement initiatives to promote undergraduate programs, manages key stakeholder relationships, coordinates workshops and the Student Ambassador Program, and represents the Faculty at marketing and recruitment events.
  • Content and Marketing: Identifies and develops content to support undergraduate recruitment, manages the Faculty’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, oversees social media campaigns, and provides staff training as needed. Analyses performance data to generate marketing insights and contributes to enterprise-wide marketing and communication campaigns and special projects.

About You

  • A degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline, with relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education or training.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering marketing and social media campaigns that support engagement and recruitment objectives.
  • High-level written communication skills, with experience researching, writing, and producing content and collateral for a range of digital and print platforms.
  • Strong organisational and event planning skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, work under pressure, set priorities, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to negotiate, analyse and resolve issues, and build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • High-level computer proficiency across standard Microsoft applications, with demonstrated experience using specialist tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.

Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, qualifications, history checks, and other role-specific requirements such as a Blue Card check. This may also include checks relating to gender-based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements.

Work Rights:
