Job Summary

The College of Nursing (CON) Partnership Liaison Specialist serves as a strong role model for professional nursing practice and supports the mission and vision of the CON. The coordinator is responsible for assisting program leadership by planning, securing, organizing, maintaining and facilitating educational experiences in clinical facilities which support clinical learning objects and program outcomes. The coordinator will be responsible for establishing, cultivating, and continuously building relationships with clinical affiliates throughout Georgia and the region to place undergrad and graduate students in clinical sites ensuring adequate capacity for quality education. The CON Partnership Liaison Specialist schedule will involve some travel on evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

The duties include, but is not limited to: Serves as the nursing liaison between the college, healthcare agencies, and educational institutions and participates in the processes established for obtaining sites for clinical experiences. Identifies, recruits, and tours new clinical agency placement sites. Attends required leadership nursing meetings at clinical affiliation agencies. Interacts with current clinical agencies RN staff to plan for and schedule group and/or individual clinical rotations. Collaborates and consults with CON site coordinators and clinical instructors to evaluate clinical sites per Board of Nursing and program requirements. Maintains relationships with clinical partners, preceptors, and the community for the purpose of further development and support of clinical affiliates. Develops and maintains a database of clinical sites, preceptors, and clinical agency credentialing requirements. Utilizes the clinical placement system (i.e. ACEMAPPS) to submit clinical placement requests for groups of students and preceptorships as required to meet clinical affiliate deadlines. Prepares reports of clinical activities that are required and requested. Maintains accurate records regarding clinical placements and preceptors (i.e. PTIP ' Preceptor Tax Incentive Program). Collaborates with CON program leadership and faculty to ensure student compliance with clinical placement requirements and processes. In collaboration with other staff associates, initiates, reviews, revises, and maintains contracts and agreements. Provides student training with credentialing processes and institutional requirements as needed. Collaborates with CON Communications and Retention and Recruitment Coordinator to ensure marketing needs and recruitment potential are communicated and that strategies are developed and implemented. Meets with nursing leaders at clinical sites related to student issues and relays any concerns related to the clinical experience to CON leadership to facilitate prompt resolution. Provides conflict resolution in situations where there are discrepancies between the goals/objectives of the clinical placement site and the CON. Collaborates with clinical site nurse leaders on latest developments regarding new departments, new innovations, etc. in the pursuit of novel opportunities for students. Develops and implements policies and plans related to clinical placements and timelines for program directors and course chairs. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university. Active RN license in State of GA. Two years of directly related program experience in a progressively responsible position in a hospital or academic setting with directly related clinical rotation programs experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in basic hospital organization, hospital/clinic systems, or academic health professions education. Knowledge of Augusta University's policies and procedures or similar practices.

Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with subordinates, coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction. Goal oriented with the ability to focus and obtain a pre-determined result.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position). Pay Band: 12. Salary Minimum: $62,300.00/Annually. Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position. Recruitment Period: 6/5/25 - Until Filled. Augusta University offers a variety of benefits to full-time benefits-eligible employees and some of our half-time (or more) employees. Benefits that may be elected could include health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, Teachers Retirement System (or Optional Retirement Plan), as well as earned vacation time, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays. Conditions of Employment

All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University. If applicable for the specific position based on the duties: the candidate will also need to have a credit check completed for Positions of Trust and or approved departmental Purchase Card usage. Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle. For Faculty Hires: Final candidates will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.
