Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business is searching for a Research Associate to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.
Core responsibilities include:
- Research the venture capital industry via primary and secondary sources to build a comprehensive database of sources and investment criteria
- Interview and collect data via internal CMU sources to profile University related startups and spin off companies to chart historical fundraising activity
- Analyze the datasets and build a proposed solution to best match investor criteria and goals to startup/spinoff achievements and objectives
- Research involves: Aligning Early Stage Funding Needs with Venture Capital Criteria and Understanding how Carnegie Mellon Can Best Position StartUps and Spin offs for Successful Fundraising.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3-5 years of experience in data collection and analysis required
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

- Sponsorship: Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States. CMU will not sponsor or take over the sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity. Carnegie Mellon is not a qualifying employer for the STEM OPT benefit: only the 12-month OPT may be used to work at Carnegie Mellon.
