Coordinator, Foundation Scholarship
Job Summary
This role coordinates all aspects of the Tarrant County College Foundation (TCCF) scholarship program, including using fiscally responsible stewardship and proven practices to promote TCCF scholarships, improve processes, and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders. This position serves as a practitioner who translates knowledge of scholarships, student financial aid, and program management to manage the TCCF scholarship process from application through award distribution.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements
• Coordinates the TCCF scholarship program, including new scholarship agreements, monitors and maintains existing scholarship agreements, and maintains regular contact with students
• Maintains TCCF scholarship software and application systems, including archiving data from these systems
• Prepares scholarship application processes for students and coordinates application review and scoring
• Facilitates scholarship selection committees and committee responsibilities, ensuring compliance, eligibility, and policy requirements are maintained
• Collaborates with the TCCD Finance and Accounting departments to monitor and prepare scholarship projections and expenditure reports of all scholarship funds awarded
• Ensures awarded scholarships are sufficient to cover students’ needs, and fully disbursed in accordance with donors’ intent
• Serves as the primary point of contact for stakeholders such as students, faculty, and staff
• Reports scholarship results and awards to the Executive Director of the Foundation and other key stakeholders as needed and at the end of each scholarship cycle
• Provides timely and accurate information to students’ inquiries about application statuses, award notices, scholarship payments, and other communications related to TCCF scholarships
• Participates in the annual evaluation of the TCCF scholarship program and makes recommendations to improve policies and procedures to streamline the scholarship process and maintain uniformity from application to award
• Stays current with trends, proven and promising practices, and other regulations related to scholarship development and awarding
• Assists in the coordination of other TCCF activities and special events
Service Excellence
• Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the Essential Performance Requirements
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Supports the mission, values, and goals and principles of the College
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree and three (3) years' working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements, or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Preferred Qualifications
• At least one (1) year’s working experience in Foundation administration, fundraising, or scholarship management in higher education
• At least one (1) year’s working experience implementing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies and techniques with donors
• At least one (1) year’s working experience with the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of budget planning, operations, and forecasting
• Skilled in project planning, management and monitoring
• Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
• Skilled in using applications and enterprise systems, including the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
• Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
• Ability to foster a collaborative work environment and setting
• Ability to prioritize work appropriately to employees to meet College and campus deliverables

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representatives of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
