Lone Star College-System Office employees are based at one of two System Office locations; The Woodlands and University Park. Both are the site for multiple administrative departments and system-wide training programs.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Coordinator III, Talent Management supports the strategic goals of Lone Star College by coordinating talent management programs and initiatives that foster employee growth, engagement, retention, and internal mobility. This role will assist in implementing college-wide strategies related to talent development support, learning and development, succession planning guidance and employee recognition. The Talent Coordinator serves as a collaborative partner across departments, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and plays a key part in cultivating a culture of continuous learning and leadership development across the College.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Creates methods of evaluation to track, analyze, report, and make recommendations for key talent metrics related to employee participation, performance, engagement, and development outcomes
- Manage logistics for talent programs and events, including but not limited to scheduling, communications, evaluations, materials preparation, attendance, and vendor coordination
- Assist with the communication, marketing, and facilitation of programs in Organizational Development area related to talent management
- Coordinate, support, and implement college-wide talent development programs and initiatives, career pathing, and internal mobility initiatives
- Engage with stakeholders, lead committees, and represent department and institution on committees, meetings, conferences, and professional organizations
- Conducts data analysis and research from internal resources such as PowerBi and MyWorkshops and external sources to identify and, where applicable, apply key trends for continuous talent growth and internal mobility
- Manage logistics for talent programs and events, including but not limited to scheduling, communications, evaluations, materials preparation, attendance, and vendor coordination
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of talent initiatives, tools, and resources to ensure alignment with LSC's mission and values while promoting the LSC culture
- Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of organizational development, adult learning principles, and higher education work environments.
- Strong understanding of talent management, employee development, and succession planning best practices
- Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups of employees and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, learning management systems, and other digital collaboration tools.
- Data literacy and comfort using dashboards or analytics tools to drive decision-making.
- Ability to gather and interpret data for continuous program improvement
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE & CONDITIONS:
Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment. Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position. Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Two (2) years of experience in talent development, training coordination, organizational development, human resources, or related functions. Experience in project coordination and event planning.
Salary
Hiring salary range is $48,152 - $55,375. Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education. Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star College, the resume submitted in the application process will be utilized to calculate your salary offer.
