About This Role
The dynamic Office of Human Resources is seeking a Part-time, Human Resources Coordinator to join the team. The office actively serves close to 1000 of the College’s employees on three campus sites: Journal Square Campus, North Hudson Campus and Secaucus Campus. The Office of Human Resources is committed to working strategically with the diverse College community in identifying and responding to its changing needs and serving as a resource for the College.
Summary of Duties
What You’ll Do
The Human Resources Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative support for the office including the day-to-day monitoring of the Human Resources email inbox and voicemails; completion of employment verifications requests and unemployment claims; event planning support for the Office of Human Resources’ annual events and programs; assistance in supporting on-boarding and appointments for I-9 compliance; recruitment posting support, and other projects as may be assigned.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of demonstrated years of experience in an administrative role required.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with a culturally diverse population and to effectively and respectfully function and communicate within the context of varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities, and cultural backgrounds.
- Associates degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
