The Department of Academic Affairs at The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled Student Affairs Coordinator. This position will assist department leadership by coordinating student engagement events and maintaining a welcoming office environment. A successful employee will execute dynamic events throughout the year and be the administrative lead for the day-to-day functions of the Student Affairs unit. This position requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and effective communication.
- Occasional late evenings and/or weekend work will be required.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Student Affairs leadership to develop strategic plans for department events.
- In collaboration with internal and external constituents, such as Marketing/Communication and building managers, develop and execute signature events, including Match Day, Commencement, and White Coat Ceremony.
- Coordinate special events hosted by Medical Student Government, Interest Groups, Academic Houses, and others.
- Provide assistance with arranging venues, catering, equipment, technological needs, and other elements crucial to a successful event.
- Facilitate workshops, conferences, and appointments for students and staff within the College of Medicine - Phoenix.
- Prepare background and marketing materials for special events and college initiatives.
- Make travel reservations and itineraries, as needed.
- Monitor or oversee a variety of account expenditures.
- Maintain and reconcile detailed budgets for various accounts.
- Advise and/or determine which expenditures are within the budget guidelines, prepare administrative and financial reports, analyze, summarize and interpret information, and recommend corrective action.
- Handle the financial transactions of the office for project meeting expenses, travel reimbursement, and student events.
- Assist the office in preparing and finalizing correspondence. This may involve research, collecting, and analyzing information, and reporting findings.
- Supporting initiatives and tasks managed by other units within the Student Affairs team, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
