Dept Chair/Head AC Information Systems and Analytics
Job Summary
Reporting to the dean of the Parker College, the department chair requires the ability to effectively manage and evaluate faculty, mentor and recruit students, and teach undergraduate and graduate classes. The position is a fiscal year (12 month), tenure-track appointment.
Required Qualifications
- Earned PhD in Management Science, Information Systems, Decision Sciences, Information Systems, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Management Science, Information Systems, Decision Sciences, or Information Systems from a AACSB accredited institution by July 1, 2026
- Demonstrated record of effective teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Decision Sciences or related discipline.
- Evidence of ongoing scholarly or professional engagement consistent with AACSB faculty qualification standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build consensus and foster a collegial culture.
- Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
- Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing a strong and growing research and scholarship agenda and the production of research/creative activities as appropriate to the discipline.
- To be considered for the position of Associate Professor and Chair, the candidate must currently be at the rank of Associate Professor.
- To be considered for the rank of Professor and Chair, the candidate must currently be at the rank of Professor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in academic leadership roles such as program coordinator, department chair, associate chair, committee chair, or similar responsibilities.
- Experience with curriculum development, assurance of learning, accreditation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
