Design Studio Program Lead

Position supervises project and new partner on-boarding processes for Design Studio. Work closely with partners and other Design Studio staff in the identification and scoping of potential sponsored projects for students and assist contract process for projects. Maintain ongoing sponsor relations. Mentor and support Design Studio teams, coach them to plan effectively, overcome or remove obstacles, and drive toward project success. Coach teams on agile software development and project management practices. Assist with planning and execution of Design Studio events such as the coach/sponsor training, annual celebration, class retrospective, annual showcase, and related events.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a major related to software, engineering, business, communications, or product development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with software or related projects in an agile setting in an engineering, product management, project management, or leadership role.
  • Experience working with software/technology development projects/products.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Evidence of excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, tools, and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage/prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree with a major related to software, engineering, business, communications, or product development.
  • Evidence of successful student and/or junior team member mentoring.
  • Demonstrated ability to design solutions to abstract problems using software.
  • Higher education experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to network and build relationships with community and institutional partners.
  • Experience working with teams in an agile setting.

Posted Salary: $78,000/yr. minimum
