About Us
The ANU College of Asia & the Pacific (CAP) leads intellectual engagement with the Asia-Pacific region through research, teaching and contributions to public debate, and seeks to set the international standard for scholarship concerning the region. The Opportunity
As a Digital Communications Officer, you will play a key role in implementing CAP's digital communications strategy. Working within the Partnerships and Engagement team you will create high-quality engaging digital content that showcases the College's research, academic expertise, student experience and alumni impact. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Digital content creation: Plan, write and produce engaging digital content for websites, social media, e-communications and digital campaigns, including stories, profiles and promotional copy.
- Visual content: Produce and source visual assets such as photography, basic graphic design materials and, where appropriate, short-form video to support campaigns, events and communications activities.
- Content sourcing: Conduct interviews with academics, students, alumni and partners to develop tailored content for different platforms and audiences.
- Social media management: Plan, schedule and publish social media content, engage with online audiences and support digital campaigns.
- Analytics and reporting: Monitor and analyse website and social media performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve reach and engagement.
- Brand and compliance: Ensure all digital communications align with ANU brand guidelines, style guides and relevant policies.
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
- Proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.
- Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using content management systems, social media management tools, and email marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with digital analytics and an interest in using data to improve content performance.
- Creative mindset, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
